Mumbai: In the midst of the Corona epidemic, preparations have begun for the Indian Premier League (UAE) to hold its next edition in India in 2021 after the successful conduct of the 13th edition of the IPL for which players will be auctioned on February 11. Might be possible.
The IPL Governing Council recently held a virtual meeting but a final decision has not yet been made on the dates for the 14th edition of the IPL and the selection of venues for the match. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made it clear that only eight teams will participate in the 2021 IPL.
No decision has been taken so far on the venue of the one-day auction of players for IPL 2021. However, this auction will be conducted between India and England in the first and second Test match of the Test series to be held in February. The first match will be played from February 5 to 9 while the second match will be from February 13 to 17.
The three-member committee, headed by former Indian batsman Brijesh Patel, is in discussion over the auction of players for the IPL. The committee also includes former left arm spinner Pragyan Ojha. The players’ auction process may be held in the UAE amid the threat of a corona epidemic in India.
