Kolkata: The Hero I League Football Tournament will begin on January 9 after the successful event of the Hero I League qualifiers.

11 teams will participate in this tournament. Like the qualifiers, the tournament will be organized under the Biological Safety Protocol at four stadiums in Kolkata and Kalyani.

All India Football Federation (AIFF) league CEO Sunando Dhar said, “The number of teams in this tournament has increased from five to 11 as compared to the Hero I League qualifiers from 25 to 100 days. Adherence to biological safety and coordination between teams and organizers will be challenging. Teams must follow biosecurity to successfully conduct the tournament. All people need to try for this. ”

The 11 teams participating in the tournament are divided into two groups which will be held in two five-star hotels. Punjab FC, Indian Arrows, Chennai City FC, TRAU FC and Churchill Brothers FC will stay in one hotel while Real Kashmir FC, Mohammedan Sporting Club, Gokulam Kerala FC, Aizawl FC, Sudeva Delhi FC and Neroka FC will stay in another hotel.

When a team member comes to Corona Result positive, they will have to stay in the Quarantine at the same hotel or other plane for 17 days. He may rejoin the team if the Corona-infected member has two negative tests.
