Hyderabad: Mohammed Siraj’s father passed away for the sake of watching his son play for the Indian cricket team and if he were alive today, he would have felt that his son took the most wickets for India in the Test series against Australia.
Siraj took 2 wickets in the series won 2–1. The victory in Brisbane was also celebrated here in Hyderabad.
Siraj’s father Mohammad Gaus died on 20 November. A week before this, the Indian team reached Australia and Siraj could not even return for the funeral due to Corona protocol.
Siraj’s brother Mohammad Ismail said, “My dream was to dream of Siraj playing Test cricket for India. He wanted to see her in a blue and white jersey and his dream came true. “
He said, “This is a big achievement for the Indian team. Siraj fulfilled Abba’s dream. We are happy that he could contribute to the victory. “
He said, “We did not have any celebrations at home, but the people of the society and Hyderabad have prepared for the celebration.”
