NZ Vs PAK: New Zealand defeated Pakistan’s team by an innings and 176 runs in the second Test to win the two-Test series 2-0. In front of Jamieson’s dangerous bowling, Pakistan were all out for 186 runs in the second innings. No Pakistani batsman could score a half-century in the second innings, while Jameson took 6 wickets for 48 runs in the second innings. Jamieson, who took a total of 11 wickets in the match, was adjudged Man of the Match. New Zealand captain Kane Williamson became Man of the Series, scoring a double century and a century in the series. With this victory, New Zealand has become number one for the first time in the ICC Test rankings.
In response to Pakistan’s first innings run of 297, New Zealand declared their first innings ended at 659 for six wickets. Jameson, who took five wickets for 69 runs in the first innings, took 6 wickets for 48 runs in the second innings. In this way he managed to take 11 wickets for 117 runs in the match. This is the first time in his six Test match career while he took 10 wickets in the match.
Jameson was primarily considered a batsman who bowled occasionally but he worked on his bowling and troubled rival teams because of his ability to bounce on New Zealand pitches.
New Zealand became number one team
Jameson took the wicket of Shaan Masood on the third day in Pakistan’s second innings. Pakistan started playing in the morning by eight runs for one wicket. Trent Boult dismissed Knightwatchman Mohammad Abbas (three) after which Jamieson sent Abid Ali (26) before lunch and Haris Sohail 15), Azhar Ali (37) and Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan (10) for the second season. New Zealand won the first Test match by 101 runs. New Zealand won 118 points in the ICC Test rankings by winning the second Test and became the number one team in the Test rankings for the first time.
