A four-Test series is to be played between the two teams. All the matches of this series are to be held in Chennai only. After this, the five-match ODI series will be played. It will start from March 12 and all its matches are to be played at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad. It is the largest stadium in the world, which has a capacity of one lakh 10 thousand. Cricket will return to the stadium in Motera with the ODI series.

The ODI series will be followed by a three-match T20 series, which will start on March 23 and all its matches will be held at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
